Useful adjustment settings
Press MENU and the MENU screen
displays.
Press 4/t_ to select _ (LOCKS).
Press A/V. The password entering menu
displays.
Input the 4-digit password by using 0-9,
then press ENTER.
The LOCKS menu displays.
Press A/Y to select "V-CHIP SET", then
press 4/_-. The V-CHIP SET menu displays.
Press ,I,/Y to select "CAN ENG RATING".
Then press 4/t_ to select the desired rating.
Repeat steps 1 to 5 in Canadian English
ratings.
Press ,I,/Y to select "CAN FRE RATING".
Then press 4/t_ to select the desired rating.

Press EXIT to return to the normal screen.

Press RETURN. The LOCKS menu
displays.
Press A/V to select "V-CHIP", then press 4/
I_ to select "ON".
Your setting are now set into memory.
• If"V-CHIP" is not set to "ON", the V-CHIP setting
will not work.

The V-CHIP block is working and censors
a broadcast, "THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN
BLOCKED!" displays.
Press MUTE while the V-CHIP is working
and then the password entering menu
displays.
Enter your 4-digit password with 0-9.
At this time V-CHIP block temporarily
releases.
You can reactivate the temporarily released V-CHIP
block as shown below.
Method 1:
Change to the other channel.
Method 2:
Switch off the TV power.
• Performing any of the two above wilt activate the V-CHIP
block.
Press EXIT to return to the normal screen.
