Suppressing Occurrence of Moire
When reducing and copying the original, MX-3100N/ MX-2600N tend to produce the copy with moiré. Because
the resolution of the data tends to be low. In this case, the MX-3610N / MX-3110N / MX-2610N internally switch
the filter to reduce moiré.
Note: Users can not manually switch the filter.
Note: Moire is an interference pattern created, for example, when two grids are overlaid at an angle, or when they have slightly
different mesh sizes.
Enhanced Text Reproduction
With keeping the image quality, MX-3610N / MX-3110N / MX-2610N can recognise the part that is difficult to
recognise as text as texts at text mode. This enables users to read texts on the image clearly.

Trapping
Trapping digital files is the process of compensating for its misregistration on the original by printing small areas of
overlapping colour where objects meet. Users can manually execute trapping by checking the “Trapping” box on
the Advanced Colour Settings.
Note: The above figures are simulated to show the difference clearly.
