CARE AND CLEANING
ENGLISH
Please check the following before calling for service.
1. Power Supply
Check the po wer plug is properly connected to a suitable wall outlet.
Check the line fuse/ circuit breaker is functioning properly.
2. W hen the door is o pened, does the o ven lamp light? YES NO
3. Place a cup o f water (approx. 1 5 0 ml) in the oven and close the door securely.
Pro gramme the oven for one minute on 100 P power and start the o ven.
Does the o ven lamp come o n? YES NO
Does the turntable rotate? N OTE: The turntable turns in either direction. YES NO
Does the ventilation work? YES NO
(Place your hand o ver the ventilation openings and check for air flow.)
After 1 minute does the signal sound? YES NO
Does co o king in progress indicato r go off? YES NO
Is the cup with water warm after the abo ve operation? YES NO
4. Programme the grill for three minutes and start the oven.
After 3 minutes do es the grill heating element become red? YES NO
If NO is the answer to any o f the abo ve questions, call yo ur dealer or an authorised SHARP Service Agent
and report the results o f your check.
Caution
Do not use commercial oven cleaners, abrasive
harsh cleaners or sco uring pads on any part of
yo ur microwave oven.
Oven ex terior
The o utside of your oven can be easily cleaned
with mild soap and water. Make sure that the
soap is wiped o ff with a moist cloth, and dry the
exterior with a soft towel.
Control panel
O pen the door before cleaning to de-activate the
contro l panel. Care should be taken in cleaning
the co ntrol panel. Using a cloth dampened with
water only, gently wipe the panel until it becomes
clean. Avoid using excessive amounts o f water.
Do not use any sort of chemical o r abrasive
cleaner.
Oven Interior
1. For cleaning, wipe any spatters or spills with a soft
damp cloth o r sponge after each use while the
oven is still warm. Fo r heavier spills, use mild soap
and wipe several times with a damp cloth until all
residues are removed.
2. Make sure that mild soap or water do not
penetrate the small vents in the walls which may
cause damag e to the o ven.
3. Do not use spray type cleaners on the o ven interior.
4. Heat up yo ur o ven regularly by using the grill,
refer to note 2 o n page 10. Remaining food o r fat
splashed can cause smoke or a bad smell.
Turntable and Roller stay
Remove the turntable and ro ller stay from the oven.
W ash the turntable and ro ller stay in mild soapy
water. Dry with a soft cloth. Both the turntable and
the roller stay are dishwasher safe.
Door
To remove all trace o f dirt, regularly clean both
sides o f the door, the door seals and surfaces with
a soft, damp cloth.
Rack
This should be washed in a mild washing up liquid
solution and dried. The rack is dishwasher safe.

NOTE: If you cook the food o ver the standard time
with o nly the same co o king mode, the po wer of
the o ven will lower automatically to avoid
overheating.
(The micro wave po wer level will be reduced or the
grill heating element will beg in to light on and o ff).
