What to do if 'E1' appears on my Sharp SDH3042DB?
    • J
      john71Aug 1, 2025
If 'E1' appears on the timer display of your Sharp Cooktop, it indicates that no cookware was found or the cookware is improperly placed on the cooking zone. Ensure that the cookware is centered on the cooking zone and is induction compatible. See COMPATIBLE COOKWARE for more details.

What does it mean if 'E2' appears on my Sharp SDH3042DB display?
    • J
      Jeffrey YoungAug 5, 2025
If 'E2' is displayed on your Sharp Cooktop, it means the supplied voltage to the cooktop is too low. This might be due to reduced voltage being supplied to the house circuit. If the connections are correct and the supplied voltage returns to normal, the code should disappear.

Why is the power boost not working on my Sharp Cooktop?
    • I
      imartinezAug 14, 2025
The power boost on your Sharp Cooktop may not be working because the total power of the cooking section in use has reached the maximum rated power of 3700W (SDH3042DB) or 4800W (SDH3652DB). To resolve this, place one item on a cooking zone in one section and the other item on a cooking zone in another section. (See POWER SHARING)

What to do if 'E7' appears on my Sharp SDH3042DB display?
    • T
      Timothy LopezAug 18, 2025
If 'E7' appears on the timer display of your Sharp Cooktop, it means that the NTC1 is broken off. Turn the cooktop “OFF”, then turn the circuit breaker “OFF” for about 30 seconds. Turn the circuit breaker “ON” and turn the cooktop “ON” using the POWER pad.

Why do the fans keep running after I turn off my Sharp SDH3042DB?
    • D
      denise93Aug 22, 2025
The fans on your Sharp Cooktop continue to run after the cooking zone has been switched off because the electronics are cooling down. This is a normal occurrence.

What does 'E0' mean on my Sharp SDH3042DB?
    • C
