General Information
The flame detector and the linear smoke detector are
delivered ex works in FDnet mode.
For individual collective control panels an automatic
switchover from FDnet mode to collective mode is not
possible. Therefore, detectors must be switched to
collective mode by means of a DC source. Switchover
from collective to FDnet mode is always performed
automatically.
Switching over to collective mode
Prerequisite
To switch over, use an original base that is not connected
to the detector line.
- Base FDFB291 for FDF
- Base FDLB291 for FDL
Procedure
Electric voltage!
Take into account the positive and negative poles!
Detector may be damaged.
1. Connect the corresponding base to a 12-28 VDC
source (e.g. battery) according to the connection
diagram (see Fig. 1).
2. Place the detector in the base during approx. 15
seconds.
The detector is switched over to collective mode and can
now be installed on the collective line.
