Connecting the base station
to a PABX
The following settings are only necessary
if your PABX requires them, please refer to
the operating instructions for your PABX.
You cannot send or receive SMS/ MMS
messages on PABXs that do not support
Calling Line Identification.
Dialling modes and flash times
The current setting is marked with .
1. Step: Changing the dialling mode
The following dialling modes can be
selected:
u Tone dialling (DTMF),
u DTMF earth (country-specific),
u Pulse dialling (DP).
v ¢ Ð ¢ Base ¢ Add. Features
¢ Dialling Mode
s Select dialling mode and
press
OK ( =on).
a Long press (idle status).
2. Step: Setting the flash time
v ¢ Ð ¢ Base ¢ Add. Features
¢ Recall
s Select flash time and press OK
( =on).
a Long press (idle status).
Storing the access code
(outside line code)
Precondition: Your PABX may require you
to enter an access code before the
telephone number when making an
external call, e. g. "0".
v
¢ Ð ¢ Base ¢ Add. Features
¢ Access Code
~ © Enter or change the access
code (maximum 3 digits) and
press the display key.
Save Entry Select and press
OK.
a Long press (idle status).
If you have stored an access code, the
following will apply:
u The access code is inserted
automatically when dialling from the
following lists: emergency numbers,
SMS service centre numbers, calls list.
u You have to add the access code
yourself during dialling and when
entering directory, emergency/call
director numbers and SMS service
centre numbers manually.
u If you use the telephone number from
the directory when sending a text
message, you have to delete the access
code.
u You can delete an access code with X.
To insert a pause, press ©, s Insert
Pause
OK or ©, s Insert Recall OK.
