You can use this function to heat up large volumes of
water more quickly than with ⁠.
This function is available for all cooking zones,
provided the other cooking zone in the same group is
not in use.
Otherwise, ⁠and ⁠ flash in the display for the selected
cooking zone. ⁠is then set automatically without activ-
ating the function.
10.1 Switching on powerBoost

Select the cooking zone.

Touch ⁠.
a lights up.
a The function is switched on.
Note:You can also switch on this function when cook-
ing with a connected FlexZone.
10.2 Switching off powerBoost
1.
Select the cooking zone.
2.
Touch ⁠.
a is no longer displayed.
a lights up in the cooking zone.
a The function is switched off.
Note:In certain circumstances, the appliance switches
this function off to protect the electronic elements in-
side the hob.
11 Childproof lock
The hob is equipped with a childproof lock. You can
use this to prevent children from switching on the hob.
11.1 Switching on Childproof lock
Requirement:The hob must be switched off.

Touch and hold for 4 seconds.
a lights up for approx. 10seconds.
a The hob is locked.
11.2 Switching off Childproof lock

Touch and hold for 4 seconds.
a The lock is released.
11.3 Automatic childproof lock
You can also activate the childproof lock automatically
every time the hob is switched off.
You can find out how to switch the function on and off
in the "Basic settings" section →Page13.
12 Wipe protection
Allows the control panel to be locked for cleaning so
that the settings are not inadvertently adjusted. The
lock has no effect on the main switch.
12.1 Switching on Wipe protection

Press . A signal tone sounds.
a The control panel remains locked for 35seconds.
12.2 Switching off Wipe protection
To switch off the function early.

a The control panel is unlocked.
13 Individual safety switch-off
The safety function is activated if one cooking zone is
in operation for an extended period and you do not
change any settings. The cooking zone displays
and switches itself off.
The time from 1 to 10 hours depends on the selected
power level.
Press any button to switch on the cooking zone.
