IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS IRON.
2. Use iron only for its intended use.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not place cord, plug or appliance in water or
other liquid.
4. The iron should always be turned to “OFF” before plugging or unplugging from
the outlet. Never yank the cord to disconnect from outlet, grasp plug and pull to
disconnect.
5. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting
away. Loop cord loosely around the iron when storing.
6. Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when lling with water or emptying and
when not in use.
7. Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or
damaged. To avoid the risk of electrical shock, do not disassemble the iron. Take it
to an authorized service center for examination and or repair. Incorrect reassembly
can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless
they have supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.

10. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
11. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Use caution
when you turn a steam iron upside down as there may be hot water in the reservoir.
12. If the iron is not operating properly, disconnect from the power supply and have the
iron serviced by an authorized service center.

is leaking.
16. Your iron is designed to rest on the heel rest. Do not leave the iron unattended. Do
not set the iron on an unprotected surface, even if it is on its heel rest.
17. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate an iron on the same circuit with another
high wattage appliance.
18. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to
or greater than the Maximum rating of the iron shall be used. A cord rated for less
amperage can result in a risk of re or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall
be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
