Trimming hair
Plug the mains plug into a socket.
Slide the ON/OFF switch
3
to the “ON” po-
sition to turn the product on.
Start by cutting a little hair until you are familiar
with the length of the hair. Every guide comb
11
trims hair. Start with the longest guide comb
11
and use a different guide comb
11
to cut the
hair shorter.
Never run the product through the hair with
pressure or too fast to ensure even results.
Use the hairdressing comb
7
to comb the hair
in the direction of growth, carefully attach the
longest guide comb
11
to the blades
1
and
run the product up from the bottom at the side
of the head. Press the product against the hair
with the teeth of the guide comb
11
facing up.
Lift the product and slowly run it through the
hair. Only cut a little hair every time. Repeat at
the back of the head and on the sideburns.
When you are satisfied with the result, slide the
ON/OFF switch
3
to the “OFF” position to
turn the product off.
Unplug the mains plug from the socket after use.
Using the taper lever
Use the taper lever
2
to gradually change the cut-
ting length without using a guide comb
11
. With
the taper lever
2
all the way up, the cut will be
very close and the hair will be very short. Moving
the taper lever
2
down gradually increases the
cutting length. In the lowest position, the hair will
stay about the same.
Before releasing the taper lever
2
, always
first unplug the mains plug from the socket.
Regularly unscrew the blades
1
and remove
all hair trimmings.
When reattaching the blades
1
, verify they
are set correctly. The blades
1
can be ad-
justed as follows:
- Reattach the blades
1
to the product but do
not tighten the screws yet.
- Move the taper lever
2
at the side down.
- Move the top blade
1
until it is even (paral-
lel) with the bottom blade. Verify the two
blades
1
are offset by 1.2 mm.
- Now tighten the screws and verify the blades
1
cannot be moved.
