Information about the batteries
■ This handheld vacuum cleaner is powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
The batteries must be charged for around 5 hours before using the handheld
vacuum cleaner for the first time.
■ For care of the batteries, we recommend the following: Once the batteries have
been charged, disconnect the mains adapter
4 from the mains socket. Do not
plug the mains adapter 4 back into the mains socket until the vacuuming perfor-
mance drops noticeably and the charge indicator lamp 7 flashes green.
■ When the batteries are completely discharged, the appliance switches off
and the charge indicator lamp
7 flashes green/red alternately for approx.
60 seconds. Start charging the appliance.
NOTE
► The appliance is equipped with a temperature monitor to protect the batter-
ies. At high ambient temperatures (in rare cases) the charging process may
be interrupted or the appliance may switch off automatically:
– The charging process is interrupted and resumes automatically as soon
as the temperature of the appliance has dropped.
– The appliance switches off automatically and the charge indicator lamp
7
flashes green and red alternately for one minute. Allow the appliance to
cool for 20–30 minutes before switching it on again.
