Recommended safety distances between portable and mobile RF tele-
communication devices and the multi-function thermometer SFT 76
The multi-function thermometer SFT 76 is designed for use in an electromagnetic envi-
ronment in which RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the multi-
function thermometer SFT 76 can thus help to prevent electromagnetic interference by
maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF telecommunication
devices (transmitters) and the multi-function thermometer SFT 76 - depending on the
communication device's power output as stated below.

For transmitters whose maximum rated output is not stated in the above table, the
recommended safety distance d may be determined in metres (m) using the equation
applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, whereby P is the maximum rated output
of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2 These guidelines may not be applicable in all cases. Electromagnetic propa-
gation is influenced by absorptions and reflections by buildings, objects and
people.
