Risk of damage of the

marks (+) and (-) on the battery /
rechargeable battery and the
product.
Clean the contacts on the battery /
rechargeable battery and in the
battery compartment before
inserting!
Remove exhausted batteries /
rechargeable batteries from the
product immediately.

Before first use
Note: Remove all packaging materials from the
product.
1. Turn the product over and place it on a soft
underlay to avoid scratching the surface.
2. Loosen the screw located at the battery
compartment cover

on the back of the
product by using a screw driver.
3. Open the battery compartment cover

4. Remove the insulating strip from the battery
compartment

5. Close the battery compartment cover

and
tighten the screw by using a screw driver.

Replacing battery
. Turn the product over and place it on a soft

3. Open the battery compartment cover

4. Remove the used battery from the battery com-
partment

by gently pulling the grip

outwards. Make sure that you do not exert too
much pressure on the grip

or it may other-
wise be damaged.
Remove the battery from the battery compart-
ment

5. Insert the new battery (as specified in section
„Technical data“). Make sure that the polarity is
correct. The battery must be pressed inside the
battery holder.
Note: Make sure you insert the battery with
the correct polarity. This is indicated in the bat-
tery compartment cover

6. Close the battery compartment cover

and
tighten the screw by using a screw driver.

Weighing
Note: Starting with or without the weighing
bowl

, the product always starts at 0g / 0.0 oz
(the temperature will also be shown) when you
switch it on.
However, if you place the weighing bowl

on
the product after you have switched it on, the
product will indicate the weight of the weighing
bowl

. Press the Zero button

to reset the dis-
play to 0g / 0.0 oz. The product now reads “TARE“.
Place the weighing bowl

on the product.
Press the ON / OFF button

to switch the
product on.
Select the unit of weight by pressing the unit of
weight button

. You can choose between
“g / kg“ and “oz / lb“.
Place the food you wish to weigh in the weigh-
ing bowl

The LCD readout

indicates the weight of the
food in the selected unit of weight.
