Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the mains
power socket! Otherwise there is the risk of electric shock!
► Never open any parts of the housing. There are no serviceable parts
whatsoever inside. When the housing is open, there is the risk of receiving
a potentially fatal electrical shock.
Never immerse the appliance base in water or any other liquid! There
is a risk of fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with
live components during operation.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it. Risk of burns!
► When cleaning the measuring cup
, be careful of the egg pick .
Risk of injury!
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. These can attack the surface
and damage the appliance beyond repair.
Cleaning the appliance
1) First disconnect the power plug from the power socket.
2) Allow the appliance to cool down.
3) Then clean the cooking bowl
and the surface of the appliance base
with a slightly damp cloth.
4) Always dry the appliance properly before using it again.
In the event of limescale
If limescale starts building up on the cooking bowl , proceed as follows to
remove it.
1) Fill the measuring cup
one third full with lemon juice. Then fill the measuring
cup up to the MAX marking with water.
2) Tip this lemon juice solution into the cooking bowl
.
3) Plug the mains plug into a suitable wall socket and press the operating
switch
to the position "I" to switch the appliance on.
4) Allow the lemon juice to simmer for about 10 seconds.
5) Switch the appliance off by moving the operating switch
to the position "O".
