Troubleshooting
The device cannot be switched on
 The batteries may be empty, therefore, replace the batteries.
 Check whether the batteries have been inserted with the correct
polarity. Please note the markings in the battery compartment and on
the batteries. Please pay particular attention to the section "Inserting
the batteries".
 Check whether the optional mains adapter is inserted in the mains
socket.
No radio reception, poor radio reception
 Pull out the telescopic aerial (1) completely and make sure that it is
oriented correctly.
 Tune in the station correctly. Start scanning again if necessary.
 Check whether the "DX/LOCAL" switch (17) is in the correct position.
Please pay particular attention to the section "Setting the reception
sensitivity".
No sound although device is switched on
 Check the volume setting.
 If earphones are connected, the built-in loudspeaker is switched off.
The device cannot be operated.
 Check whether the button lock is enabled.
