Problem Possible cause Solution
Pump is running, but does not
deliver water
Output hose kinked or clogged Ensure hose is clean and not kinked
Air blockages in the suction base
Wait for max. 1 minute for the pump to automatically de-aerate over the Vent
Valve (3). If necessary, switch OFF for a few seconds and start again
Impeller clogged Clean impeller (see ‘Maintenance’)
Impeller damaged Contact your dealer or an authorised Silverline service centre
Water level falls below the minimum when pump starts Submerge pump deeper
Pump does not start or suddenly
stops during operation
Motor overheated; thermal overload protection has
switched OFF
Disconnect from power supply immediately and investigate the cause; clean
impeller (see ‘Maintenance’); observe max. temperature of 35°C
No power Checkfusesandelectricconnections;consultqualiedelectricianifnecessary
Dirt particles are jammed in the suction base Clean suction base
Pump runs, but output suddenly
decreases or ceases
Suction base is clogged Clean suction base
If the above troubleshooting solutions fail, contact your dealer or an authorised Silverline service centre.
