Why does my Simoniz 039-6506-2 Sander motor not run?
    • M
      michaelmichaelAug 3, 2025
If the motor of your Simoniz Sander doesn't start, first ensure the power cord is properly plugged in. Next, check that the rocker switch is in the ON position. Also, verify that the extension cord is not too long, is of the proper gauge (either a 25’ (7.6 m) 14/2 gauge cord or a 50’ (15 m) 14/2 gauge cord), and is not damaged. Replace the extension cord if necessary.

What to do if there are swirls after using Simoniz Sander?
    • V
      vbrockAug 9, 2025
If you notice swirls or hazing on the work surface after using the Simoniz Sander, it could be due to several reasons. One reason is that the polish isn't being worked into the surface completely; try using slow, overlapping movements. Another reason could be poor lighting conditions, so try to use under controlled lighting. Finally, the polishing pad might be too dirty or worn out, so replace it with a new polishing pad regularly.

Why is the polishing pad burned on my Simoniz 039-6506-2 Sander?
    • A
      Ariel MurphyAug 15, 2025
A polishing pad burns because it stays at one spot of the work surface during operation. To prevent this, avoid keeping the polishing pad on the same work surface, even for a short period of time. Instead, keep the Simoniz Sander tool moving constantly.

How to prevent scratches with Simoniz 039-6506-2 Sander?
    • W
      Wesley JonesAug 21, 2025
If the work surface is scratched after using the Simoniz Sander, it might be because the polish is too aggressive. Remember to be patient with polishing and learn how the polish works and breaks down. Always start with the least aggressive pad/polish to get the job done.

What to do if waxing pads come off Simoniz Sander?
    • B
      Brianna RobinsonAug 27, 2025
If waxing pads continually come off the rotary discs during use of your Simoniz Sander, it is likely that too much wax is being applied. Remove the waxing applicator and clean it thoroughly. Dry it fully and re-attach it to the foam pad for use. If necessary, replace it with a new applicator.
