Before each use
Prepare yourself and others
Be sure the area is clear of other people before mowing.
Stop unit if anyone enters the area.
Make sure you can reach all controls from operator’s position.
Wear appropriate clothing, safety goggles and safety gloves.
Prepare the area
Clear the area of objects such as rocks, tree twigs, wire, etc.,
which can be picked up and thrown by the blades.
Remove large obstacles such as lawn furniture, toys, tree
limbs, garden hose, etc.
Prepare the machine
Check brake operation frequently. Adjust and service
as required.
Keep all nuts and bolts, especially blade attachment bolts,
tight and keep equipment in good condition.
Check that crankcase is filled to full mark on dipstick. See
the engine manual for instructions and oil recommendations.
To reduce fire hazard, keep the engine, tractor and mower
deck free of grass, leaves, excess grease or other debris
build-up. Clean up oil or fuel spillage.
