Storage precautions
Fuel vapor is toxic if inhaled, so never store the tractor in
any structure used for human or animal habitation.
Never store the unit or fuel container inside where there is an
open flame or pilot light, such as near a water heater. Allow
unit to cool before storing.
Always follow the engine manual instructions for storage
preparations before storing the unit — for either short term
or long term periods.
Always follow the engine manual instructions for proper
start-up procedures when returning the unit to service.
Here is a checklist of things to remember when storing your
tractor temporarily or in between uses:
Keep the tractor in an area away from where children may
come into contact with it.
If there’s any chance of unauthorized use, remove the spark
plugs and put in a safe place. Be sure the spark plug open-
ings are protected from foreign objects with a suitable cover.
If the tractor can’t be stored on a reasonably level surface,
chock the wheels.
