Storage precautions
• Fuel vapor is toxic if inhaled, so never store the tractor in
any structure used for human or animal habitation.
• Never store the unit or fuel container inside where there is an
open flame or pilot light, such as near a water heater. Allow
unit to cool before storing.
• Always follow the engine manual instructions for storage
preparations before storing the unit — for either short term
or long term periods.
• Always follow the engine manual instructions for proper
start-up procedures when returning the unit to service.
Here is a checklist of things to remember when storing your
tractor temporarily or in between uses:
• Keep the tractor in an area away from where children may
come into contact with it.
• If there’s any chance of unauthorized use, remove the spark
plugs and put in a safe place. Be sure the spark plug open-
ings are protected from foreign objects with a suitable cover.
• If the tractor can’t be stored on a reasonably level surface,
chock the wheels.
