Solid brick walls
Mark and drill the mounting holes in the wall, using the
template we supply.
Bolt the brackets directly to the wall. Use self locking
masonry fasteners.
Timber framed walls
Position wall brackets so that fasteners attach to the wall
studs behind the plaster board or wall sheeting.
If you can’t screw the brackets directly into the wall
because the studs are not at a convenient height or
spacing:
1. Fasten a timber batten (90x30mm) of sufficient
length to the wall. Use four (4) coach screws (6mm
diameter x 70mm).
2. Attach the wall brackets to the batten. Use four (4)
coach screws (6mm diameter x 30mm).
Place the plastic spacer into the special hole in the back
panel of the tumble dryer and twist it one quarter turn,
as shown in the diagram.
Note: You may need to fasten another timber batten of the
same size to the wall, in line with the plastic spacer, to keep
the same distance from the wall to the dryer.
Helpful hints
Make sure that the wall (or vertical surface) you select
to hang your dryer on is strong enough to carry a fully
loaded dryer, approximately 45kg (100lbs).
Leave a minimum of 15mm clearance above your dryer
so that you can lift it on (and off if necessary) the
brackets easily.
If you want to mount your dryer above a top loading
washing machine, leave enough space below your dryer
so that you can open and close the lid.
Do not lift or lower your dryer by yourself. Get someone
to help you.
If you want to mount your dryer on top of a front
loading machine, we can supply you with a stacking kit.
See page 8.
Note: You can position the exhaust air vent at the back of the
dryer to remove air upwards or sideways. Ensure that the
exhaust air vent is not directed towards a surface that is
closer than 100mm to the outlet.
Remove the two (2) screws and place exhaust airvent in
new position and then align holes with dimples as
shown. It is recommended that a battery powered drill
fitted with a phillips bit be used.
Name Badge Reversal
You can reverse the name badge when you want to mount your
dryer upside down on the wall.
Use a suitable tool (eg. a thin bladed knife) to unclip the
name badge from the panel.
Turn the name badge over.
Clip it back into the panel.
If you have EZIset model 500 the "autoreversing" badge can
also be reversed.
