Usage Features

The dishwasher offers a range of features to optimize cleaning and convenience:

  • Program Selection: Users can select from various programs using the program knob, including:
    • ECO (50°C): Standard program for normal soil, crockery, and cutlery, offering the most efficient use of water and energy.
    • Normal (65°C): For normal soil, crockery, and cutlery.
    • Heavy (70°C): For heavy soil, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans.
    • Quick 30 (60°C): For fresh soil and partial loads, not recommended for detergent tablets.
    • Prewash: For quickly rinsing dishes to prevent food from bonding and odors.
  • Half Load Option (1/2): This option is available with ECO, Normal, and Heavy programs. It allows washing a small load of tableware and cookware, reducing program duration, water, and energy consumption. Both baskets should be loaded, and less detergent should be used.
  • Rinse Aid Dispenser: Automatically releases rinse aid during the hot rinse phase to ensure streak-free and stain-free drying. The rinse aid indicator signals when refilling is needed.
  • Detergent Dispenser: Compartments for detergent, with an additional compartment (B) for prewash detergent if the program includes a prewash phase.
  • Multi-tablets: The manual advises on using multi-tablets (e.g., "3in1", "4in1", "All in 1") and recommends adjusting the rinse aid dispenser to the lowest position when using them. Instructions are provided for switching back to separate detergent and rinse aid.
  • Indicators:
    • On/off indicator: Shows if the appliance is powered.
    • Program marker: Indicates the selected program.
    • Washing phase indicator: Lights up during the washing phase.
    • End indicator (→|): Comes on at the end of the program, and all indicators turn off after 5 minutes if the appliance is not deactivated, to save energy.
    • Rinse aid indicator: Signals when rinse aid needs to be refilled.
    • Half Load indicator: Lights up when the Half Load option is active.
  • Reset Function: Allows canceling a running program and returning the appliance to Program selection mode.
  • Loading Baskets: Guidelines are provided for optimal loading, including placing hollow items face down, ensuring items do not touch, and allowing spray arm free movement.
  • Door Operation: Opening the door during a program pauses the cycle, which resumes when the door is closed.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the dishwasher:

  • Cleaning the Filters:
    • The filter system consists of a flat filter (C) and filters (A) and (B).
    • Users are instructed to remove and clean the filters regularly to prevent decreased washing results.
    • The process involves removing larger residues, disassembling the filters, cleaning them, and reassembling them correctly, ensuring no food residues remain in the sump.
  • Cleaning the Spray Arms:
    • The spray arms should be checked regularly for clogged holes.
    • Users can remove remaining soil with a thin pointed object. The spray arms themselves should not be removed.
  • External Cleaning:
    • The appliance should be cleaned with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents.
    • Abrasive products, cleaning pads, or solvents should not be used.
  • Internal Cleaning:
    • The interior, including the rubber gasket of the door, should be cleaned with a soft moist cloth.
    • To prevent grease and limescale deposits, especially when using short programs regularly, it is recommended to run a long-duration program at least twice a month.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the appliance not activating, programs not starting, water filling or draining problems, and anti-flood device activation. It also describes alarm codes indicated by flashing lights and suggests possible solutions. For issues not covered or persistent problems, users are advised to contact the Service Centre.

The manual emphasizes safety throughout, including precautions for children, proper handling of detergents, and electrical and water connection guidelines. It also provides warranty information for New Zealand customers and instructions for contacting service or spare parts centers.
