5 MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
This section provides specific procedures for scheduled
maintenance inspection.
UNSAFE OPERATION HAZARD
Failure to follow proper maintenance
may result in death, serious injury or
damage to the machine.
Observe the following rules:
Users should establish preventive maintenance
procedures, including regular and annual
inspections, according to the equipment
manufacturer's recommendations, the operating
environment of the machine, and the applied load of
the machine.
Maintenance inspections shall be completed only by
persons trained and qualified on the maintenance of
this machine.
Routine maintenance inspection contains the
inspection items to be performed daily for normal
machine operation. The service technician must
perform the routine maintenance inspection
according to the Repair & Inspection Report and
complete the report in details.
Scheduled maintenance inspection shall be
completed quarterly, half-yearly, and annually. The
service technician must perform the scheduled
maintenance inspection according to the Repair &
Inspection Report and complete the report in
details.
Timely tag and remove from service a damaged or
malfunctioning machine.
Repair any damaged or malfunctioned machine
before operation.
Keep all inspection records for at least 10 years or
until the machine has been removed from service or
as required by the machine owner/company/keeper.
The frequency of inspection and maintenance
depends on the manufacturer's recommendations
and should conform to the operating conditions and
operating environment.
Machines that have been out of service for more
than 3 months must accept quarterly inspection.
The replacement parts used in the maintenance
should be identical or equivalent to the original
parts.
Unless otherwise specified, perform the
maintenance procedures according the following
terms and conditions:
Park the machine on flat, level and solid ground.
Place the machine in non-operating position.
Turn the key switch on ground controller to OFF
position and remove the key to prevent
unauthorized use of the machine.
Pull out the red emergency stop buttons on
ground and platform controllers to OFF position
to avoid unintended start-up of the operating
system.
Turn off the main power switch.
Disconnect all DC power from the machine.
Lock all wheels to prevent movement of the
machine.
Before releasing or removing the hydraulic
components, release the hydraulic oil pressure
in the hydraulic components, particularly with the
counterbalance valve on the cylinder.
CONDUCTING A PRE-
DELIVERY INSPECTION
When the machine owner/company changes, in
addition to conducting a pre-delivery inspection, the
corresponding inspection shall be carried out according
to the maintenance schedule requirement and repair &
inspection report. When conducting a pre-delivery
inspection, comply with the following requirements:
1. It is the responsibility of the machine owner/
company to perform a pre-delivery inspection.
2. Follow this procedure each time before delivery.
Performing a pre-delivery inspection could reveal
potential problems with the machine before you
begin putting the machine into service.
3. Never use a damaged or malfunctioning machine.
Tag the machine and do not use it.
4. Only professionally trained, qualified personnel may
repair the machine and must follow the procedures
as stated in operation manual and maintenance
manual.
5. A competent operator must conduct daily
maintenance on this machine as stated in operation
manual and maintenance manual.
