UNSAFE OPERATION HAZARD
• Unless in emergency situations,
never operate the machine from
the ground controller if there are
still persons on the platform.
• Never operate the machine if any
control handle or switch that
controls the platform movement
is not returned to the OFF position
after being released.
• Do not remove, alter or disable
the foot switch by adding a block
or any other ways to prevent
severe death or injury.
COLLISION HAZARD
Before operating the boom, ensure
the area near or under the platform is
clear of persons or obstructions.
Preparation
1. Turn the Ground/Platform select switch at the
ground controller to Platform.
2. Pull out the emergency stop buttons at both
ground and platform controllers to ON position.
3. Turn the key switch at ground controller to ON
position.
4. Ensure the power indicator light is on and no error
message is present.
Power indicator light
Light on indicates the platform controller is normally
powered.
Horn button
Push the horn button, the horn should sound.
Foot switch
1. Depress the foot switch and meanwhile move the
engine start switch, the engine should not start.
2. Release the foot switch, and move the engine
start switch, the engine should start.
3. Release the foot switch, and directly move any
function switch/handle, the function should not
operate and the buzzer should sound.
4. Depress the foot switch and meanwhile move any
function switch/handle, the function should
operate.
5. Move any function switch and then depress the
foot switch, the function should not operate and
the buzzer should sound.
6. Depress the foot switch and 7 seconds later move
any function switch/handle, the function should
not operate and the buzzer should sound.
Engine start switch
Move the engine start switch, the engine should start
smoothly without abnormal noises.
Note: The switch will get irresponsive after engine
startup.
Glow plug switch (if equipped)
NOTICE
Run the engine at low idle for 3–5min to preheat the
engine before applying any loads.
Move and hold the glow plug switch for 6–10s, the
engine should inhale for preheating.
