Symptom
Cause Solution
Speed is not displayed or
displayed incorrectly.
Wrong speed pulse set.
The brown cable for the speed pulse is not
connected correctly.
Incorrect setting of the analogue display.
Incorrect tire circumference / ratio is set.
Speed reduction is set incorrectly.
Enter the wrong number of setting points for
sensor operation.
Distance speed sensor to pick-up point greater
than 3mm.
Tachometer cable broken or loose.
Speedometer drive gear missing / defective.
Speed recording INT / EXT without function.
Sensor on spark plug defective / broken.
Plug-in connection broken / broken.
In adjustment menu 4 you set how many signals of the ignition
the speedometer reads. This varies mainly between the original
and Vespatronic ignition. Please make the right setting.
(Info: This is always the half number of magnets of the ywheel.)
Brown cable must always be connected to the lighting current
12V, not to the battery.
In the adjustment menu 1, switch from analog RPM display to
analog speed display.
Check the setting of the measured values in the adjustment menu 3.
Check speed reduction in adjustment menu 2.
"INT = Tachowelle, EXT = external sensor"
Check the acceptance points on the vehicle. Sensor must ash at
every point! 01P = 1 acceptance point / 05P = 5 acceptance points.
Decrease the distance between the speed sensor and the
acceptance point.
Fix parts correctly, replace defective parts.
Speedometer due to overvoltage defective / damaged and must be
renewed. Poor or incorrectly designed ground connection could not
dissipate voltage peaks.
Replace sensor Art.-No. KI001R15.
Check the wiring sensor / if necessary replace, Art.-No. 50000230.
