Symptom
Cause Solution
"FUEL" warning display is
always on.
Float on the petrol cock defective.
The cable has been damaged during installation.
If the petrol faucet is not properly installed, it is
incorrect.
Battery of the clock empty.
Overvoltage at the IC of the clock.
The speedometer has obtained overvoltage
from a voltage peak.
In strong sunshine and heat fade numbers and
letters in the display up to contrastlessness
against the background.
Plug connector 180° reversed inserted.
When removed, lift the oat on the fuel tap / fuel gauge, then
"FUEL" should switch o. If not, renew fuel tap / fuel gauge.
Check wiring, replace if necessary, Art. No. 50000240.
When the wire connection is switched, the connectors must be
plugged in and replaced.
After a long time without usage, e.g. In winter the internal battery
can be discharged. Battery is recharged after a longer trip and
display appears again.
Check voltage regulator, replace if necessary. Clock due to
overvoltage defective. The speedometer must be replaced.
Poor or incorrectly designed ground connection could not dissipate
voltage peaks.
During cooling, numbers and letters appear normal and contrast-
strong.
(Operating range tachometer: -10- + 60°C)
Pay attention to marking at the contact No. 1-7 and insert accordingly.
The time in the speedometer
is changes by itself.
The time display shows
"3F: 7F".
Display, numbers and letters
fade.
Control lights PX Lusso
without function, control lights
(turn signal, light, main beam)
without function, instead the
reserve light ashes.
