PERIODICAL TEST AND CHECK-
UP
Maize-cob harvester must be detail checked-
up at least once a year before starting
harvest. Periodical check-up during working
season should be every day or every 8 hours
of working.
Check-up includes following points:
Tension and greasing of all driving
chains.
Greasing of uncovered gears.
Condition and cleaning of husker rollers.
Tension and greasing of transport chains
in picking unit and conveyor.
Condition and tension of V-belts.
Greasing following the maintenance
instructions (incl. PTO Shaft).
Condition and cleaning of picking plates
Knives check of the flailmower and
greasing of bearing – points.
All safety devices and protections on the
machine.
Electrical equipment – traffic lights.
PTO Shaft – state of protection.
ATTENTION!
WORKING WITH HARVESTER IS SAFE IF
USED CORRECTLY, CONSIDERING ALL
THE INSTRUCTIONS.
NOTICE
New machine is in transport – assemble
position. Before use it must be shifted to
working position as shown in the picture
(fig. 20). Remove the driving shaft protection
first (pos. 4, fig. A) and the driving shaft
(pos. 1, fig J) by unscrewing (pos. 62, fig. J)
the house bearing (pos.9, fig. J) and take off
the chain (pos. 36, 32, fig. J) on the clutch
(pos. 19, fig. J).
Protect the hopper (pos. 1, fig. 20) from
turning over and undo screws (pos. 2,
fig. 20). Shift the hopper to working position.
Position “A” is recommended (fig. 20). Using
wider and more powerful tractor you can
choose position “B”, whereby the width and
the centre of gravity of the machine are
changed. Be careful when tipping on the
uneven field. Using smaller tractor position
“C” is recommended. After setting put the
screws in the utmost boreholes on the holder
(pos. 3, fig. 20) and tighten them well.
