The SKIL PWRCORE 20™ Lithium 20V Battery is a rechargeable power source designed for use with SKIL 20V cordless power tools. A key feature of this battery is its PWRAssist™ Mobile Charging capability, which allows it to provide 5V 1A USB output to charge other mobile devices, such as cell phones, when the battery itself is not depleted. Warning regarding cleaning agents: Certain cleaning agents and solvents can damage plastic parts. These include gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia, and household detergents containing ammonia.
When not in use, battery packs should be kept away from metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, and screws to prevent shorting the terminals, which could cause fire or injury. Battery packs should never be exposed to fire or high heat, as they may explode.
For storage, the tool should be kept indoors in a location inaccessible to children and away from corrosive agents. The battery pack should not be stored in the charger for extended periods, as this could lead to damage and fire. The recommended storage temperature range is 32°F (0°C) to 104°F (40°C).
Battery packs should not be disassembled, nor should any component projecting from the terminals be removed, as this could cause fire or injury. Before disposal, exposed terminals should be covered with heavy insulating tape to prevent short circuits.
Lithium-Ion batteries must be collected, recycled, or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. SKIL participates in the RBRC Battery Recycling program (indicated by the RBRC seal on the battery), which provides a convenient alternative to disposing of used Li-ion batteries in trash or municipal waste, which may be illegal in some areas.
