WARNING
An improperly closed door can open suddenly while driving, causing serious in-
juries.
● Immediately stop and close the door.
● When closing make sure that the door locks fully into place. The closed
door must be flush with the surrounding body parts.
● Open or close doors only when no one is within the swivelling range.
WARNING
A door held open with the door strap may close automatically in strong wind
conditions and on slopes, causing injuries.
● Always hold the door handle when opening and closing any door.

Possible cause Remedy
At least one vehicle door is open
or not closed properly.
Do not drive the vehicle!
Open the corresponding vehicle door
and close it again.
When switching on the ignition, some warning and indicator lights illuminate
briefly as a function test. They will extinguish after a few seconds.
If a door is open or not closed properly, the warning light illuminates in the in-
strument cluster.
The warning light is visible even when the ignition is switched off.
