propriate restraint system according to their size and weight.

Using a child seat in the rear seats
First read and observe the introductory information and safety warn-
ings on page 66.

When attaching a child seat in the rear seat bench, the position of the front seat
must be adapted such that the child has sufficient space. Consequently, adjust
the front seat to the size of the child seat and the size of the child. Also consider
the correct seated position of the front passenger ⇒ page 44.
Suitable child seats
In the rear passenger seats, universal child seats according to ECE-R 44 group 0,
0 +, 1, 2 or 3 may be installed.

Fastening a child seat with the seat belt
When mounting in the front passenger seat.
Read and follow the instructions of the child seat manufacturer.
Slide the seat all the way back ⇒ page 44.
Place the child seat in the seat according to the instructions of the child seat
manufacturer.
The belt height adjuster of the seat belt must be in the highest position.
Apply the safety belt or route it through the child seat according to the in-
structions of the child seat manufacturer.
