SKOPE Deluxe Bathroom Fan Heater
Safety Cutout
Your SKOPE 988E Deluxe Bathroom Fan Heater is fitted with an auto-
reset thermal cutout and a fusible link. Either of these devices will
automatically switch off the elements and the motor, should the unit
reach an abnormal temperature. Should this occur:
1.Disconnect heater from power supply
2.Check for blockage of the air inlet and outlet
3.Use a vacuum cleaner to clean if necessary
If the heater still fails to operate, contact your nearest authorised
service agent.
Operation
Air is drawn through the slots in the cover of the heater by a tangential
fan, blown over heating elements, and then blown out through the
bottom louvred grille into the room. The heater is controlled by the pull-
cord switch.
The heat output is regulated by an internal, step-down, thermostat
which will reduce the output from 2200-2400 Watts to 1100-1200
Watts, when a comfortable room temperature is reached. The heat
output is shown by the two neon indicators on the front grille:
•One neon glowing: the heater is operating at 1100-1200 Watts
•Two neons glowing: the heater is operating at 2200-2400 Watts
Alternatively the heater can be operated via external wall switches,
fitted during installation, which as well as turning the heater on and off
can also override the thermostat, acting as a ‘Boost’ switch.
Care
The heater is best wiped down, from time to time, with a damp cloth. Do
not use any abrasive cleaners.
