After the tone is heard, move the throttle stick up until
the drone starts to rise. (If throttle is not matched in
5 seconds then manual flight will be cancelled.)
TOGGLE INTO AUTO HOVER WHILE IN MANUAL FLIGHT
Press either the up or down altitude locking button to
toggle back into auto hover. (Your drone will hover at the
current throttle speed.)
TOGGLE INTO MANUAL FLIGHT BEFORE TAKE-OFF
Hold stunt button and press auto land/auto launch button
and a tone will sound from the remote. Make sure your
throttle stick is in the down position.
Push the throttle stick up to begin manual flight.
When launching the drone, face the same
direction as the drone. Green blades and green
LEDs should be in front.
If your drone drifts in any direction when you are
hovering, you will need to make Trim
adjustments to correct the driving. Trim
adjustments are sometimes needed when the
drone is first flown after purchase. See TRIM
ADJUSTMENTS section for details.
Practice launching, hovering and landing before
attempting to learn other moves.
Flying 2 to 3 feet above the ground will reduce
ground turbulence and make flying easier.
When first attempting to fly in different
directions, start by tapping the direction stick
until you have a feel for it. Always move controls

Stay 2 to 3 feet away from walls and ceilings
as drone will be drawn towards them if you fly
too close.
If propeller blades come in contact with
another object or you crash, throttle down or
auto land immediately to prevent possible or
further damage.
If anything prevents drone’s blades from
spinning or they become jammed, throttle
down or auto land immediately. Do not attempt
to fly until obstruction has been removed and
damage fixed.
Should something prevent drone’s blades from
spinning, drone may auto shutdown. LiPo
battery will need to be unplugged then
reconnected to restore flying power.
If the drone flies too far away, beyond the
control range of the remote, the drone will
auto-land to prevent the drone from flying away
out of control.

Overview

The Sky Viper V2900PRO Video Drone Streaming device is a sophisticated drone designed for both recreational flying and aerial video/photo capture. It offers a range of features that cater to both novice and experienced pilots, with an emphasis on ease of use and stable flight.

Function Description

The primary function of the Sky Viper V2900PRO is to provide a platform for aerial video streaming and recording, alongside traditional drone flight. It allows users to capture high-definition video and still images from an aerial perspective. The drone is equipped with Viperflight+ flight control technology, which enhances stability and responsiveness during flight. It supports live streaming to a smart device, enabling pilots to see what the drone sees in real-time. Additionally, it can record footage directly to a Micro SD card for later viewing and editing. The drone features both auto-hover and manual flight modes, providing flexibility for different skill levels and flight scenarios. Its auto-launch and auto-land functions simplify takeoff and landing, making it more accessible for beginners. The auto-return home feature ensures the drone can safely return to the pilot's location and land automatically.

Usage Features

Powering Up and Pairing: To begin, users connect the battery wires on the bottom of the drone and place it on a flat surface. The remote control is then turned on. The drone and remote automatically pair, indicated by the flashing green light on the drone turning solid.

Flying Basics:

  • Auto Launch: A simple press of the Auto Launch button initiates a controlled takeoff, lifting the drone a few feet off the ground.
  • Throttle Control: The throttle thumbstick on the remote allows the drone to ascend or descend. In auto-hover mode, it controls the drone's altitude relative to its current position. In manual flight, it directly controls the lift.
  • Directional Control: The directional thumbstick enables the drone to fly forward, backward, left, or right. The further the stick is pushed, the faster the drone moves in that direction.
  • Auto Land: Pressing the Auto Land button initiates an automatic, controlled descent and landing.
  • Manual Flight Toggle: Users can switch between auto-hover and manual flight modes. Before takeoff, holding the stunt button and pressing auto land/auto launch toggles to manual flight. While in auto-hover, pressing either the up or down altitude locking button toggles back to auto-hover.
  • Video and Photo Capture: Dedicated buttons on the remote allow users to start/stop video recording and capture still photos.
  • Rotational Control: The throttle/rotation stick also controls the drone's rotation, allowing it to spin clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Streaming and Recording:

  • Device Attachment: A device holder on the remote allows users to attach a smart device for live streaming.
  • Wi-Fi Connection: The drone creates a Wi-Fi network that a smart device can connect to.
  • Sky Viper Video Viewer App: The dedicated app is essential for live streaming and accessing drone controls via a smart device. It allows users to view the drone's camera feed, record video, and take photos.
  • Micro SD Recording: The drone has a Micro SD card slot for direct recording, independent of a smart device connection. This is particularly useful for capturing footage without relying on a Wi-Fi connection.

Flying Tips:

  • Orientation: It's recommended to face the same direction as the drone when launching, with the green blades and LEDs indicating the front.
  • Trim Adjustments: If the drone drifts during hover, trim adjustments can be made using specific buttons on the remote to correct the drift. This ensures stable flight.
  • Practice: Beginners are encouraged to practice launching, hovering, and landing before attempting more complex maneuvers.
  • Altitude: Flying 2 to 3 feet above the ground reduces ground turbulence, making flight easier.
  • Control Sensitivity: Start with gentle control inputs and gradually increase as comfort with the drone grows.
  • Proximity: Maintain a distance of 2 to 3 feet from walls and ceilings to avoid the drone being drawn towards them.
  • Safety: In case of contact with objects or a crash, immediately throttle down or auto land to prevent further damage. If blades are jammed, do not attempt to fly until the obstruction is removed.
  • Auto Shutdown: If blades are prevented from spinning, the drone may auto-shutdown. Unplugging and reconnecting the LiPo battery restores power.
  • Out of Range: If the drone flies beyond the remote's control range, it will auto-land to prevent it from flying away.

Maintenance Features

Charging the Drone:

  • Battery Removal: The drone's LiPo battery is accessed by pushing down a holder on the rear and pulling the battery box out from the underside.
  • Charging Process: The battery is charged using a USB charging cord connected to a computer or USB power block. A red light indicates charging, and a green light signifies a full charge.
  • Charging Precautions: It's crucial to allow the battery to cool down after use before recharging. Charging should occur in an isolated area, away from excessive heat or moisture. Damaged or swelling batteries should be immediately turned off. The battery should not be modified, heated, or wetted, and only the provided charger should be used.

Remote Batteries:

  • The remote control requires 4x 1.5V AA(LR6) batteries, which are inserted into a compartment secured by a screw.

Optional Blade Guards:

  • Blade guards can be easily installed by inserting their posts into designated holes on the drone and pressing to lock them in place. While beneficial for beginners, they add weight and reduce flight performance, making them less suitable for advanced flight settings.

Repairing Damaged Blades:

  • Identification: Before removal, users should note the color and letter (A or B) of the damaged blade, as markings are found on both the blades and the drone.
  • Removal: A small screw secures each blade, which can be removed using the provided mini screwdriver.
  • Replacement: The damaged blade is replaced with a new one of the matching color and letter, then secured with the retaining screw.

General Maintenance:

  • Cleaning: Over time, loose hair or carpet fibers can get wound around the blades, affecting performance. Users should unplug the drone and remove these fibers from the motors, removing blades if necessary for thorough cleaning.

Battery Replacement:

  • Additional or replacement battery packs can be purchased to extend flying time.
