This quick reference guide takes you through commissioning the Sunny WebBox.
Observe the information on set-up/mounting location in the Sunny WebBox user manual.
Use the red network cable to connect Sunny WebBox and a node attached to a computer
(e.g. router, switch, hub)
or
Use the blue network cable to connect the Sunny WebBox directly to a computer.
Insert the plug-in power supply into the Sunny WebBox and then into a socket-outlet.

The Sunny WebBox has started and is ready for operation when
the "REPORT", "SYSTEM", and "POWER" LEDs are green. The
start-upsequencecantakeupto90seconds.

If the "REPORT", "SYSTEM", or "POWER" LEDs are not lit, see
Section "TROUBLESHOOTING".
For commissioning, you will need the following items from the packaging:

Install the Sunny WebBox Assistant on the computer. Use the enclosed CD or download the
Sunny WebBox Assistant from the download page at www.SMA-America.com.
START SUNNY WEBBOX ASSISTANT
Activate JavaScript in the Web browser
The user interface of the Sunny WebBox and Sunny WebBox Assistant requires JavaScript
in order to correctly display and run contents and functions. Activate JavaScript in your
Web browser. If necessary, refer to the help section in your Web browser.
Commission all nodes
If you would like to integrate the Sunny WebBox in a local network without Dynamic
HostCongurationProtocol(DHCP),startallnodesonyourlocalnetwork.The
Sunny WebBox Assistant will help assign a free IP address.

MENU OVERVIEW
Select the "Settings" button to open the menu.
Start the Sunny WebBox search.
Here, you can select the program language.
SEARCH FOR SUNNY WEBBOX
Accept the license agreement and click [Next].
If the Sunny WebBox is not yet commissioned, do so now (see Section
C
) and select [Next].

The Sunny WebBox Assistant starts the search for Sunny WebBoxes on your network.
