Why does my Smith Performance Sprayers Industrial & Contractor leak at the pump?

If your Smith Performance Sprayers Paint Sprayer leaks at the pump or fails to build pressure, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the tank cover o-ring (#3H) for any dirt or debris and clean it off. If the o-ring is chipped, torn, swollen, or defective, you should replace it as described in the Pump Disassembly & Reassembly section. Also, inspect the check valve (#3S) at the bottom of the pump assembly; replace it if it's missing or damaged, following the instructions in the Pump Disassembly & Reassembly section. Lastly, examine the o-ring (#3L) on the piston for wear or damage and replace it as described in the Pump Disassembly & Reassembly section.
