Why does the nozzle tip leak or have a poor spray pattern on my Smith Performance Sprayers Industrial & Contractor Paint Sprayer?
    • M
      Matthew WrightAug 29, 2025
If the nozzle tip of your Smith Performance Sprayers Paint Sprayer leaks, produces a poor spray pattern, sprays only partially, or stops completely, it could be due to several reasons. The spray extension or nozzle might be clogged, so remove the nozzle and clean it. The soft seat gasket or seat stem on the XB shut-off could be damaged or dirty; clean the end of the seat stem and the soft seat gasket, and replace the valve spring for the XB shut-off. The filters or mesh strainer might be dirty or clogged; clean them. Finally, the nozzle tip itself might be dirty or clogged; clean it with a soft brush.
