§ 12 Particularities in case of traffic bans imposed under the Road Traffic Act
(1) If a ban is imposed on vehicles of all kinds (sign 250 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), the PLEV may be pushed.
(2) If a ban on motor vehicles (sign 251 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), a ban on motorcycles (sign 255 of Annex 2 to the
Road Traffic Regulations), a ban for motor cars (sign 260 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations) or a ban on entering (sign 267 of
Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations) is ordered, PLEVs with a maximum design speed of not less than 12 km/h may only drive or
enter if this is permitted by the additional symbol "PLEVs with a maximum design speed of not less than 12 km/h allowed".
(3) If a ban is imposed on motor vehicles (sign 251 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), on motorcycles (sign 255 of Annex 2 to
the Road Traffic Regulations), on motor cars (sign 260 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations) or a ban on entry (sign 267 of Annex
2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), then this does not apply to PLEVs with a maximum design speed of less than 12 km/h. The
provisions of § 10 paragraphs 3 and 4 shall remain unaffected.
(4) If a ban on cycling is imposed (sign 254 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), then this also applies to PLEVs with a design
speed of not less than 12 km/h.
§ 13 Light signals
PLEVs are subject to the light signal regulation of section 37, paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Road Traffic Regulations. For PLEVs with a
design speed of less than 12km/h, the symbol "pedestrian" is used. For very small electric vehicles with a maximum design speed of
not less than 12 km/h, the symbol "bicycle traffic" is used.
