Why is espresso not dispensing and flowing out too slowly from my SOLIS 1018 Coffee Maker?

  If your SOLIS Coffee Maker isn't dispensing espresso properly and the flow is too slow, it could be due to several reasons. The holes in the brewing head sieve or the filter inserts might be clogged. To resolve this, remove the portafilter and run hot water through it. If the water flow is uneven, descale the appliance. Another cause might be that the grind size is too fine. Adjust the grind size to a coarser setting by selecting a higher number on your appliance.

  If coffee runs out from the edges of the portafilter of your SOLIS Coffee Maker, it could be due to too much ground coffee in the filter insert, preventing the portafilter from being fully turned into the brewing head. Carefully and slowly turn the portafilter out of the brewing head, noting that pressure could cause hot splashes. Clean the brewing head with a soft, moist sponge or towel. Reduce the amount of ground coffee and restart the espresso extraction. Alternatively, ground coffee might be stuck to the brewing head. Clean the brewing head with a soft, moist sponge or towel. Clean the holes in the filter insert with a brush or the cleaning tool.

  If your SOLIS Coffee Maker is not dispensing steam, it could be due to low water level in the tank, preventing the pump from drawing water. Check the water level and fill the tank up to the MAX marking if needed. Remove any residues on the opening with the large needle of the cleaning tool.   If your SOLIS Coffee Maker is not dispensing hot water, it may be because air has entered the water circuit, causing the pump to run idly. Ensure the water tank is correctly installed and the water level is above the MIN marking. Repeat the steps described in “Before first use” / “C. Rinsing the machine” resp. “Water tank runs empty during use”. Remove any residues on the opening with the large needle of the cleaning tool.
