Xenon lifeline
Carriage user manual
You have just purchased a
XENON anchorage device
and we thank you for your trust. To
be sure this product is to your full
satisfaction, for each use, please
follow the instructions given in the
manual.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
XENON LIFELINE
The length between two structural
anchors is included between 2m
and 12 m. The Xenon lifeline can
be used simultaneously by a
maximum of 4 people. Because all
the installations are different, refer
to the indications of the
identification plate attached near
the lifeline to see how many users
can employ it simultaneously, and
establish the minimum clearance
for each installation. Check the
compatibility of the fall arrest
system with the minimum
clearance. The Xenon lifeline is in
conformity with EN 795 Class C.
The line intermediate structural
anchors are designed to tolerate
15 kN force, and the terminal
structural anchors to tolerate 19
kN force for an 8 mm diameter
cable and 24 kN for a 10 mm
diameter cable. Depending on the
type of support (concrete, metal
structure or other), it will be
necessary to validate with the
owner or an approved organization
the installation to ensure it
matches the given forces.
Preferably, the lifeline should
be placed above the position of the
user.
User instructions
Before each use, check the lifeline
for general condition and in
particular, make sure that the pre-
tension indicator (green) is clearly
visible and that the fall indicator
has not been activated (yellow
indicator visible). If there is any
doubt about its condition, have the
Xenon lifeline checked by a
competent person and replace any
parts considered to be defective.
Any fall or mechanical overload
triggering the fall indicator of the
absorber means that the
installation must be checked and
any part affected, and the
absorber, must be replaced.
The Xenon lifeline carriage is
designed for use in combination
with other individual fall arrest
systems in conformity with EN 363
(e.g. energy absorber in
conformity with EN 355 + harness
conforming to EN 361). Therefore,
any person working near a drop
must take all necessary steps to
keep the connecting part to the
lifeline as short as possible so as
to minimize the height of free fall,
in accordance with the minimum
clearance needed.
The Xenon carriage is a device
forming part of the personal
protection equipment and must
therefore not be left permanently
on the installation. Check the
performance of the carriage before
each use, in particular with regard
to its locking on the cable.
WARNING
Failure to comply with the
instructions in this manual could
have serious repercussions. We
advise you to reread these
instructions periodically. They
should be kept with the product. In
addition, the manufacturer and his

the event of use, storage or
maintenance carried out in any
other way than described in this
manual.
IF THE BUYER IS NOT THE USER,
HE MUST SEND THESE
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LATTER.
Before use, it is essential to make
