A photocell monitors the doorway. As soon as it is interrupted (e.g., by a car or person),
the control unit stops the operator or changes the direction of travel; the setting of
DIPswitches3and4andtheautomaticclosingsettingdeterminehowthecontrolunit
responds;seechapter5.16"Operatorresponsetodetectedobstacle"onpage30.
*Specialfeaturewiththeframephotocell:Withaframephotocell,theoperatormemorises
the position of the photocell during programming. In normal operation, the area under the
photocell is not taken into account, i.e. the operator is not stopped when it moves through
the photocell. The photocell must therefore be installed as low as possible.
The function of the photocell is tested by the control unit after the door reaches an end
position.
