Why won't my Sonoma SGR30MLP light when I push the igniter button?
    • C

Your Sonoma Grill might not light due to several reasons. First, check if your gas supply is turned on and if there's gas in your L.P. tank. Ensure that one of the burners is turned on and allow up to four seconds of gas flow to ignite. Also, verify that the igniter is working and that you can see a spark at the electrodes after removing cooking grates and flavor grids. Make sure the igniter battery is correctly installed with the positive side to the outside and replace it if necessary. Inspect for any loose wire connections or debris blocking the electrodes.

What to do if my Sonoma SGR30MLP won't light with the igniter?
    • M
      Meredith BurkeAug 6, 2025
If your Sonoma Grill doesn't light with the igniter, start by checking if the gas supply is on and if your L.P. tank has gas. Confirm that a burner is turned on, allowing a few seconds for gas to flow. Check the igniter for a snapping sound and visible spark at the electrodes (remove cooking grates and flavor grids to see them). Ensure the igniter battery is correctly installed (positive side out) and replace if needed. Also, look for loose wires or debris blocking the electrodes.

How to fix a Sonoma SGR30MLP igniter that won't light the grill?
    • T
      Tammy HodgesAug 15, 2025
To fix a Sonoma Grill igniter that's not lighting the grill, begin by verifying that your gas supply is turned on and that your L.P. tank has sufficient gas. Make sure one of the burners is turned on, giving the gas up to four seconds to flow. Check if the igniter is producing a snapping sound and a visible spark at the electrodes (remove cooking grates and flavor grids). Confirm that the igniter battery is installed correctly, with the positive side facing outward, and replace it if necessary. Also, inspect for loose wire connections to the igniter or electrodes and remove any debris blocking the electrodes.
