About the System
TheSonoSiteSSerieshighresolutionultrasoundsystemisaportable,softwarecontrolled,diagnostic
ultrasoundsys tem usingalldigitalarchitecture.Thesystemisusedtoacquireanddisplayhighresolution,
realtimeultrasounddatain2D,ColorPowerDoppler(CPD),andcolorDoppler(Color)orinacombination
ofthesemodes.
The
systemprovidesmeasurementcapabilitiesforanatomicalstructuresandfetalbiometrythatprovide
informationusedforclinicaldiagnosticpurposes.Systemfeaturesincludecinereview,imagezoom,
labeling,biopsy,measurementsandcalculations,andimagestorage,review,printing,recording
capabilities.
Thesystem/transduceriscapableofexceedingaTIoranMIof1.0in
certainoperatingmodesormode
combinations.Thesystemdisplaysthecurrentoutputlevelintermsofoneoftwobioeffectsindices
(“MechanicalIndex[MI]”and“ThermalIndex[TI]”)inaccordancewiththeAIUM/NEMAStandardfor
RealTimeDisplayofThermalandMechanicalAcousticOutputIndicesonDiagnosticUltrasound
Equipment.
