PRECAUTION
Torque Measurement
1. Clean the following parts with a denatured-
alcohol-moistened swab:
record/playback head pinch roller
erase head rubber belts
25 to $0 g-cm
CQ-102C
capstan FWD 2 to 5 g-cm
; ; Back Tension (0.028 to 0.069 oz-inch)
2. Demagnetize the record/playback head with a
head demagnetizer. (Do not bring the head FF 65 to 110 g-cm
demagnetizer close to the erase head.) (0.9 to 1.53-0z-inch)

3. Do not use a magnetized screwdriver forthe
adjustments.
4. After the adjustments, apply suitable locking
compound to the parts adjusted.
5. The adjustments should be performed with the Tape Tension Measurement
rated power supply voltage unless otherwise
: more than 170 g
