1) Insert the checker into the hole
at the rightside of the turntable. —

Bring the tonearm above the
white round mark of the checker.
3) By holding the shell in a
i horizontal position, check to see
| that the stylus-tip meets the
center point of the white
round mark. Avoid damaging
the stylus-tip by bumping
against the checker.
4) If the stylus-tip misses the
center white point, readjust the
shell.
Secure the arm to the armrest.
Slightly loosen the two screws
and bring the tonearm again
above the white point of the
checker.
5) Adjust the cartridge position by sliding the cartridge a little
forward or backward.
6) After determining the correct cartridge position, secure the
arm to the armrest and fasten the screws firmly.
There is no need to remove the overhang checker.

While holding the Counterweight at the balanced position,
” separately turn the Tracking-force ring until the “O”
indication meets the center line on the arm.

Turn the Counterweight clockwise until the tonearm is in
the horizontal balanced position. (The Tracking-force ring
turns simultaneously.)
Hold the tonearm gently to prevent bumping
the stylus tip.
Release your hands and check the balance.
Repeat this step a few times.
recommended tracking -force figure for your cartridge is
aligned with the center line on the arm. (The Tracking-
force ring will turn at the same time.)
The maximum tracking force available is 3 grams.
The Tracking-force ring turns
simultaneously.
Turn the Anti-skating compensator
so that the arrow mark meets the
tracking force value used.
Under ordinary conditions
the anti-skating
compensator value
should be the same as
the tracking force.

After the adjustments are complete, install the stylus guard |
