Re-tuning: SONY Freeview Recorders
This guide can be used to help you re-tune the following products with the remote control below:
1) Press the
System Menu
button once
Make sure your box is on and press 80
for the BBC News channel
2) Use the arrow buttons
to select Initial Setup
on the second line of
the menu and press
the Enter button
3) Use the Down
Arrow button to
select Digital Tuner
on the second line
of the menu
4) Use the Right
Arrow button to
select Replace
Channels
5) Use the Right
Arrow button to
select Next Screen
and press the
Enter button

Access System Menu

Press the System Menu button on the remote control to access the main menu.

Initiate Initial Setup

Navigate to and select 'Initial Setup' using the arrow buttons and press Enter.

Select Digital Tuner Option

Use the down arrow button to select 'Digital Tuner' from the menu.

Choose Replace Channels

Use the right arrow button to select 'Replace Channels'.

Proceed to Next Screen

Use the right arrow button to select 'Next Screen' and press Enter.

Select Country and Start Tuning

Select 'UK' as the country using arrow buttons and press Enter to confirm.

Monitor Re-tune Progress

A re-tune screen will appear showing progress; no action is required.

Confirm Completion

A completion screen will appear indicating the number of channels found.

View Digital Channels

BBC1 will automatically play out after tuning, completing the procedure.
