correct
polarity.

Trie set cannot
be operated on the internal
batteries when
either the ac power adaptor or
car battery
cord
is connected to the
set.
•
When the set
is
not to be
used
for
a long
period of time or is to
be operated
extensively
on
other
power sources, remove the batteries
to avoid
set
damage
caused
by
battery leak-
age and
corrosion.
Battery life
You
can expect Sony SUM-2(NS) New Super
batteries
or
Eveready
Heavy
Duty
No. 1235
batteries
to
last for approximately
8
hours
when
recording from
the
built-in microphone.
•
Intermittent use will prolong the useful
battery life.
•
The
life of other type batteries or batteries
of other manufacturers
mav be
different.
To
check battery
condition
While
operating the
set,
keep the
BATT
CHECK/LIGHT
button
depressed and
observe
the
pointer of the
LEVEL/BATT
meter.
If the
pointer
of the meter
does
not reach
the green
zone, replace all the
batteries
with new
ones.

critical recordings,
new
batteries
are
recommended.
