before
end-
of-tape,
depress
the

button.

At
end-of-tape,
the
tape
motion
stops
and
the
locked
buttons
are
released
automatically.

The
sound
to
be
recorded
can
be
heard
through
the
head
phones
at
any
desired
volume
setting
without
affecting
the
recording
level
(Variable
Level
Recording
Monitor
System).
Note:
Make
sure
that
nothing
is
connected
to
the
MIC
jack.
If
an
external
microphone
or
connecting
cord
is
connected
to
the
MIC
jack,
the
built-in
microphones
will
be
disconnected.
For
recording
on
the
TCS-310,
we
recommend
using
normal
type
|
tapes.
The
other
types,
especially
type
!V,
are
not
recommended.
Uni-directional.
microphones,
such
as
the
built-in
microphones,
are
apt
to
pick
up
wind
noise
and
make
a
popping
sound
when
a
sound
such
as
“p”
is
pronounced.
You
can
reduce
these
ef-
fects
by
covering
the
microphones
with
a
cloth,
although
the
tone
quality
will
suffer
slightly.
