Press the Standby button on the keyboard.
Operation returns to the same state as before.
Press one of the S Keys on the keyboard and launch straight into your favourite application.

You can leave Windows

running when using Hibernate.
If you press the power button for more than four seconds, the computer will switch off completely.
When the computer is in Hibernate mode, you cannot insert a disc.
Hibernate uses less power than Standby.
Hibernate requires more time than Standby.
