NETWORK TOOL KIT Quick Guide
WARNING: Tools are not insulated. Never use tools on live circuits. Wear eye protection
when using tools. Tools have moving parts that can pinch/cut. Keep fingers clear of tools.
Note: The jack will have a guide for T568A and B. All the cables in the facility should
be wired to the same standard to prevent miswires.
Cut the cable to length.
Strip o 1.5” (39mm) of the outer jacket.

Crimp the connector onto the cable.
To Wire RJ45 Jacks (not included):
- Untwist and straighten the conductor wires.
- Insert conductors into the appropriate slots using the color coded wiring guide printed on the jack.
- Minimize the untwisted length on each conductor pair - no more than 1/2" (13mm).
- Use the 110-style punchdown tool to fully seat (punch down) the wires into the slots.
Oriented correctly, the tool will trim off the excess wire.

To Wire RJ45 Connectors (included):
- Untwist and straighten the conductor wires.
- Arrange the conductors into the T568A or T568B sequence.
IMPORTANT: Use the same sequence on both ends when making a patch cable.
- Hold conductors and cut to
½ ” (13mm) as shown.
- Fully insert the conductors into the connector checking that they go into the correct pin slots.
