Why does wood burn so fast in my Spartherm Varia M60h Indoor Fireplace?

If the wood in your Spartherm Indoor Fireplace is burning too fast, it might be because the air control needs adjustment. Try adjusting the air control down. Also, check that the ash plug is properly seated (if your appliance has one), inspect the door gasket to ensure it's sealing well, and consider that the wood might be extremely dry.
