An internalmask which reduces the dead space, moulded in rubber and equippedwith twovalves for
air circulation, which
preventsthevisorfromfoggingup;
Anheadharnesswithfivestraps,mouldedinrubber,andequippedwithrapidreleasebuckles;
Aneckstraptowearthemaskaroundtheneckduringbreaksfromwork.
Thefacemaskisinonesize,anditadaptstothe
facewithoutunduepressure,creatingaperfectfit.
2. Warningsandlimitations
Donotusethemaskwithcl osed circuitoxygenbreathingapparatus;theseshouldbeus edwithmaskswithoutexhalationvalv es.
Alwaysmakesurethatthemaskdoesguaranteetheairtightnessandperfectadherencetothe
faceduringthesealtest.
Abeardand/ortheuseofspectaclesmayinterferewiththefitofthemaskontheface.Inthelattercase,usecorrectiveglasses
withaspecialframe,availableonrequest
DonotuseModels1to5(masksforfilteringsystems)if
theairhasanoxygencontentwhichislowerthan17%involume(this
limitmayvaryaccordingtothedifferentprovisionsineffectinthecountrywheretheequipmentisused).
DonotuseModels1to5(masksforfilteringsystems)ifthepollutantsareunknown.
Themaskscanbeusedwithoutanyriskinenvironmentswhicharerichinoxygen,explosivesand/orflammablesubstances.A
possibleriskmayariseiftheseareusedwithotherPPEwhicharenotsuitableforuseintheseenvironments.
Whenthedangersaresuchthat,besidestheprotection
oftherespiratorytract,theuseofotherprotectiveequipmentisalso
required,onemustconfirmthecompatibilityofthisequipmentwiththemasks.TheuseofotherPPE(hearingprotectors,head
protectors,limbprotectors,etc.)shallnotlowertheeffectivenessoftheRespiratoryProtectionDevice.Alwaysdoatrial
fitting
beforeactualuse.
In cases where the mask is used in the presence of particularly aggressive liquid chemical agents, always confirm the
compatibilityofthemaskwithsuchchemicalspriortouse.
3. Use
3.1 Puttingonthemask
Pullthe straps oftheheadpiece to their maximumlength
byreleasing theadjustment buckles.Supportthetemporal andside
strapsoftheheadpiecewithbothhands,whileatthesametimewideningthemsothatyoumaybeabletoinsertyourfaceinto
thefacemask.Onceyouhaveplacedyourchinontheappropriaterestingplace,passthe
headpieceoveryourhead,placingitin
Models1to5arenegativepressurefullfacemaskswhichhaveanEN148‐
1standardthreadconnectorandmaybeusedindifferentconfigurations:
with filters which are equipped with an EN 148‐1 standard thread
connection,withpowerassistedfilteringdevice,aspartofanairline,with
freshair
equipment.Models6to9arepositivepressurefullfacemasks
with an EN 148‐3 connector (models 6‐7) or a DIN 58600 bayonet
connector(models8‐9)sothattheycanbeusedascomponentsofaself‐
containedbreathingapparatus(SCBA).
