awayyoucanfeelauniformpressurefromthesealingflapofthemaskonyourface.Thebuckleswillautomaticallylockinthe
desiredposition.Itisrecommendedtofirstpullthepadstraps,thenthoseonthetemporalareaandfinallythefrontalones(fig.
2,3,4).Toremovethemask,releasethetensionofthestrapsbyslightlyliftingtheclaspsofthebuckles,thiswillallowthestraps
toslide
back(fig.5).Removethemaskfromyourchinandthenliftitoffyourhead.

3.2 Howtocheckthepneumaticseal
Beforeenteringacontaminatedenvironment,itisnecessarytocheckthesealofthefacemaskonthefaceas
wellasthatofthe
exhalationvalve.Onceyouhaveputonthemask,closetheconnectorwiththepalmofyourhandandinhaledeeply(fig.6),so
thatthemaskmayadheretoyourface.Thereshouldbenoinfiltrationofairinanypartofthemask.
Thesealcheckshouldbe
carriedout2/3times.

4. Storageandtransportation,cleaninganddisinfection
4.1 Storageandtransportation
ThematerialsusedfortheTR82maskshave
optimumanti‐agingcharacteristicsandthereforenospecialprecautionsareneeded
for storing the masks. However, it is recommended to keep new facemasks in their original packaging in well ventilated
warehousesawayfrompossiblesourcesofheat.Themasksshouldbestoredintemperaturesrangingfrom‐20to50°C.Forthe
preservationofready‐mademasks,itisrecommendedtokeeptheseinclosedcupboards,storedawayfromdust,light,chemical
vapours,andanysourcesofheat.Fortransportation,usetheiroriginalpackaging.
4.2 Cleaning/Disinfection
After use, the masks should be cleaned with a soft cloth to remove sweat and condensation.
In cases where the masks are
particularlydirty,theycanbecleanedwithasimpledishwasheratamaximumtemperatureof40°Cusinganeutraldetergent.Do
notusesolventstowashthemasks.Shouldyouwishtodisinfectthemasks,useanaqueoussolutionwithachlorhexidinebased
(0.5%)or
electrolyticchloroxygenbased(0.1%)disinfectant.Rinseallthepiecesunderrunningwateragainafterdisinfection.For
amorethoroughcleaningordisinfection,requiringthecompletedisassemblyofthemask,pleaserefertoSPASCIANIoroneofits
authorisedworkshops.
5. Maintenance
Themaintenance,disassemblyandreplacementofthecomponentsof
themasksmustbecarriedoutonlybytheManufacturer
orbyitsauthorizedworkshopsorbytheuserifspecificallytrainedbySPASCIANI,whichperiodicallyorganizestrainingcoursesfor
thispurpose.Ateachre‐assemblyofthemask,aftercleaningandbeforeuseafteraperiodoflonginactivity,the
maskefficiency
mustbechecked;toperformthesechecks,ARACorARACMinidevices(producedbySPASCIANI)canbeused.
