What to do if Spear & Jackson Trimmer engine will not start?

If your Spear & Jackson Trimmer engine won't start, it could be due to no spark, no fuel, or a flooded engine. Try cleaning or replacing the spark plug and resetting the spark plug gap. Push the primer bulb until it is full of fuel. If the bulb does not fill, the primary fuel delivery system is blocked. If the primer bulb fills, the engine may be flooded: set the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE position, squeeze the trigger, and pull the rope repeatedly until the engine starts and runs.
