What causes asymmetrical pressure and flow readings between pump shifts in Spectra Marine Equipment?

Asymmetrical pressure and flow readings between pump shifts in your Spectra Marine Equipment (more than a few psi) can result from scored Clark Pump annular rings and a reversing valve spool; replace them. It can also be caused by scored Clark Pump piston rod and lip seals; confirm by opening the test port on the back of the pump. If there's constant flow, replace the seals and circular sand (240 grit) or replace the piston rod. Lastly, check for scored Clark Pump cylinders; hone, circular sand (240 grit), or replace them.
